Owner's Story
From her first time out of the country to Mexico when she was 14, Shelly immediately knew she had a passion for travel, but what she didn't know is it would eventually lead to owning and operating her own travel agency one day.
Shelly lives in Iowa with her husband and daughter and has a background of over 13 years in personal injury law. During that time, she was the Office Manager of a law firm in Des Moines where she oversaw the every day operations of all the cases in the office. She found her passion in personal injury law because she enjoyed helping others, handling the unexpected, and maintaining the organization that is required to lead a law office and staff.
Shelly vacationed often with her family and because of her work ethic, the digging, investigating and researching didn't stop at the law office. She incorporated all these same attributes to planning her own vacations. When she would return from her trips, she would share about her adventures on social media and people took notice. Because people wanted to know more about her travels, they would inquire about what she did, how she planned the trip or if she could help them. Because her heart is always leaning towards helping others, she always provided assistance.
It wasn't until she was on a cruise in the Caribbean where she had the thought of why not become a business owner and start my own travel agency. Knowing she had the skills and insight to operate a business efficiently, had the passion to help others, and enjoyed travel, it was on that trip in the middle of the ocean, she began to write out her business plan.
